I want love to be simple. I want to trust without thinking. I want to be generous with my affection and patience and love unconditionally. It is easier to love a person with their flaws than to weed through them. I want to love the whole person, not parts; and this is how I want to be loved.

It’s good scientists are starting to acknowledge the emotions of non-human animals. Farm animals have similar emotions. Here’s a link with the following: “Scientists at Wageningen University in the Netherlands have discovered what many of us already knew: farmed animals feel empathy for their peers, a trait once thought exclusive to humans.” The researchers found that pigs respond to each other’s feelings and are friendly and highly intelligent. Elephants and other animals in the wild have also been studied scientifically with similar results.
I just want to be wrapped in someone’s arms again. Like experience that rush of happiness and comfort and safety that makes my cheeks turn peach. That makes my smile eternal and full of good things to come. To make promises that I know won’t be broken. To fall in love and actually fully trust that person and give them all the love in the world that I can possibly give. To do everything from dinner dates to meeting the family to little hikes out to the forest and dip our feet in an ice cold stream. To feel that feeling that you get deep in your stomach - the butterflies and roller coaster feelings. To look at that person and just think “You are literally the most perfect thing I have ever seen. You are the one person I want to cherish everything with and love this second and the next and the next being alive and getting to be your lover.”
